​When Macy's merged with The National Urban League, they envisioned a stylish show house in the center of Chicago's McCormick Convention floor. Walmart wanted a prototype of the ultimate college dorm room created right on the sales floor in one of their Atlanta stores, so they both gave Helen Bailey a shout-out. Even when Lowes needed a breakdown of affordable ways to glam up homes for the holidays, and ABC wanted to show their viewers how to decorate like all those Housewives, Helen was their go-to decorator, and let's not forget when CBS had to give their viewers tips for renovating on a budget; they too, called on Bailey.

Taking rooms from drab to fab is Helen's specialty. She has been fortunate enough to have lived one of her dreams by producing and hosting her home makeover and lifestyle TV show,  which aired for three seasons on Paramount's BET network in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Africa. With each episode, she greeted her viewers with a warm smile while leading a production team of twenty-five behind-the-scenes workers. She also worked closely with the BET sales team, which led to her integration with well-known national brands, including P&G, Walmart, Weber Grill, IKEA, Lowe's, Pier 1 Imports, Ace Hardware, Sherwin-Williams, as well as Beyoncé and Solange, among others. ​​​Bailey studied art business at the world-renowned Christie’s auction house in London and branding and marketing at Harvard.

 

With all this under her belt, Bailey is living out one of her biggest dreams, which she feels is her mission. Early on, Helen's target market was always the Black American Family, and that mission has stayed the same over the years.  This brings her where she is now: creating her very own lifestyle network, "Black Homes & Lifestyles." She continues to push herself tirelessly to achieve her goals, in the hopes of one day helping others achieve theirs.
